Emami Agrotech, which has been an RSPO member since 2012, is an Indian refiner and consumer goods company. It accounts for 11 percent of the country’s crude palm oil imports, making it the largest Indian importer of crude palm oil without an NDPE policy. The company accounts for a large portion of India’s significant leakage market. Its refining capacity is about 2 million metric tons annually, and it imports about 1.3 million metric tons. Two of its suppliers are Posco and Torgando, both of which have cleared forest Papua and Sumatra.
Emami Group is the top shareholder, owning 46 percent of the company.
